Lauren Vogel, Vln.
Lauren began studying The Suzuki Violin Method as a five year old taking individual lessons and attending group classes outside the historic Washington University’s campus in St. Louis MO. As a teen, she was selected to play in the first violin section of the “Varsity” orchestra and went on to become the Concertmaster of the entire orchestra her senior year in Eureka, MO.
She then moved to Chicago, IL, studying Musical Theatre Performance at Columbia College Chicago and working professionally as a Theatre Actor and Musician, a Recording Artist, Band Member, Wedding and Event Violinist, Gilbert and Sullivan Enthusiast, and all around stringed instrument expert. In 2017 she was awarded 3rd place in The Midwest Open Division Fiddle Championship. As an actor musician, Lauren toured in Equity theatres across the country - Cambridge MA, Louisville KY, Washington DC, Miami Fl, Sarasota Fl, Pasadena CA, Three Oaks MI, NYC, and dozens of theatres in Chicago.
Now Lauren is in Los Angeles, CA, performing in shows at The Pasadena Playhouse, The Getty Villa, SPTW, and more. She has toured her violin internationally in performances in Warsaw, Poland and Chisinau, Moldova and even a wedding in Turin, Italy.
While she specializes in The Violin/Fiddle (they’re the same thing!), she also plays and teaches Banjo, Guitar, Ukulele, Mandolin, and is a critically acclaimed vocalist.
